Dear Keke, Shirley, Justina and Ken

I am writing to thank each of you for the role you played in providing me with excellent and unforgettable experience in China! From the World Expo in Shanghai to a day at the zoo with our students in Zheng Zhou, I have seen some incredible sights and visited some unforgettable places. I’d like to express my gratitude to all of you:

Keke Wang from Philadelphia whose orientation sessions did a great job of outlining all costs and travel itineraries; describing the teaching commitments; explaining cultural similarities and differences; coordinating and facilitating all time-sensitive /required documents and for communicating the importance of being flexible about the teaching assignments and designated destinations while in China.

Shirley Lau who arranged for the flawless execution of all flights and excellent hotel accommodations; precision-timed connections for all ground transportation including trains, buses, shuttles and cabs that allowed for a safe, smooth and convenient travel and stay in and around China.

Justina Wu who did an incredible job of ensuring we had a class of brilliant and fun students at a wonderful school. I’d like to thank you for your efforts to make it a rewarding teaching and learning experience for both me and the students. In addition, I cannot say enough about the exceptional job of the local hosts/guides that you provided for us. Bear, Ding, Ms. Cherry and Ms. Jo were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and very gracious. They were Chinese hospitality in every way.

Ken Miller has a smooth and unflappable management style that puts everyone at ease! Your guidance and advice in the classroom each day helped to keep things flowing in an organized and coordinated way. I really appreciated your willingness to share some of the best practices for teaching in China and for helping us to plan and deliver our themed lessons (including the many songs!) that made for a successful English language learning environment. Thank you for setting the tone and expectation for delivering professional, engaging and quality lessons that helped the students feel more knowledgeable and confident about their English language skills.

Thank you all for allowing me the distinct privilege and genuine pleasure of serving English language learners in China.  I love China and can’t wait to do it again!

Xie xie!
