Eastern U.S.A. 4-Day Explorer Tour
Highlights: Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and the caves of Pennsylvania
Day 1 Toronto - Boston
In the morning, we depart Canada and cross the border at Buffalo, traveling into the state of Massachusetts via the Empire State ? New York State. We will then travel along the interstate thruway, and hear stories of American Dreams and Revolutions as we pass through the Hudson Valley. After arriving in Boston, we will stop at the Quincy Market for you to explore and enjoy the lively and friendly vendors in the market. Depending on your appetite, you may go for a grand lobster dinner, or simply sample the delicacies around the various food outlets in the market.
Day 2 Boston - New York City
In the morning, we start our sightseeing tour with visits to Harvard University, Harvard Square, the U.S.S. Constitution, Beacon Hill, the State Capitol Building of Massachusetts, Boston Common, and the famed Freedom Trail. These historical sites will help you to understand the importance of the city of Boston in American history. Later in the day we will arrive at “The Big Apple”, starting our exploration of New York City with a tour of Manhattan. First, we will embark on a scenic cruise (optional admission) to observe the breathtaking Manhattan skyline, Liberty Island, and the Statue of Liberty from the water. The Statue of Liberty was originally created as a token of international friendship between France and the United States, unveiled in 1886. The statue has become a global symbol of freedom and one of the most famous national landmarks in the United States. Returning to Manhattan, we will continue our tour by taking you through the Wall Street Financial District, the elegant shops on Fifth Avenue, Chinatown, and the theatre district on Broadway. We will also visit the glorious Intrepid Museum (optional admission) by the New York pier, the Rockefeller Center, the United Nations Building and Central Park, the largest inner-city park in the world. We will witness a number of other time-honored landmarks and sites on the way during our city tour, completing our journey with a stop in magnificent Times Square to experience the chic nightlife of New York.
Day 3 New York - Philadelphia - Washington D.C
We will depart New York in the morning, and travel to Philadelphia, the birthplace of the American Revolution and independence from the British Empire. Highlights of the tour will include the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, the former Capitol Building, and National Independence Park. We will then continue the tour by visiting the federal capital of the United States ? Washington D.C. The Washington District of Columbia is named after the first American President, George Washington, who helped select the site of the capital in 1790. We will visit many impressive sites and landmarks in the capital including the White House, Capitol Hill, the Smithsonian Institute, the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, the Washington Monument and much more!
Day 4 Penn’s Cavern ? Corning - Toronto
We will start our wonderful day by visiting the underground caverns of Penn’s Cave (optional admission). This U.S. Geological National Landmark has been underground for four million years awaiting your discovery. We will then drive to Corning City, and visit the Corning Glass Factory and Museum (optional admission). You may pick up some Corning souvenirs and famous kitchenware during our visit. We will stop at the Duty Free Shop before we arrive at Canada Customs. We will be arriving in Toronto in the evening, concluding our journey.
